Digital Literacy

Digital Literacy is part of Media Literacy.

These two are part of the “Being Information Literate” idea which consists of skills such as effectively finding , identifying, assessing, and utilizing information.

Digital literacy relates to internet, smartphone, videogames, and other non-traditional information source.

Like how media literacy consists of abilities to define mass media’s message and to create responsible media, digital literacy also consists of skills to guide people to gain literacy and ethical obligations.

This initiative contains modules such as properly utilizing technology, understanding algorithm, programming and learning the core of web design in the context of civil and political operations.
By getting a deeper understanding of mass media’s algorithm and content distribution system, we will be able to reduce the effect of false information being shared in the digital world and help train people in distinguishing the true information from the false ones.
